Who we are
Kynectra ("we", "us") operates this service. For any privacy question or request — access, correction, deletion, or consent withdrawal — contact us at support@kynectra.com. We respond within 30 days. (Full legal entity details will be published here before paid launch, following counsel review.)
Age requirement
Kynectra is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; such accounts are deleted on discovery.
What we collect
Your account details (name, email, age, location), the profile prompts you choose to answer, photos you upload, and your activity in the app (likes, matches, messages). You decide which prompts to answer — none of the deeper questions are required.
Sensitive information & your consent
Some optional profile fields — such as beliefs or spirituality, relationship history, and personal reflections — may be considered sensitive personal data under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and the California Consumer Privacy Act. We collect them only with your explicit opt-in consent, given at sign-up and each time you choose to fill in such a field. You can edit or delete these answers, or withdraw consent, at any time.
Who sees your answers
Your profile (first name, age, location, values, and the prompt answers you choose to publish) is visible only to members who fit your matching preferences. Your deeper answers additionally sit behind a reveal step: a member must deliberately open your story to read them before they can like you. To be clear — you control what is published (and can edit or delete it anytime); members in your match pool control only whether they open what you have already chosen to share. Nothing unpublished can be unlocked by anyone. Your email, full name, and exact location are never shown to other members.
Your messages
Conversations are visible only to you and your match. Our moderation team may review specific messages only when one of the participants submits a report.
AI processing
When you use AI insights, icebreakers, or the AI Relationship Coach, the relevant profile answers and coach messages are processed by third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI and Anthropic, accessed through a managed gateway) solely to generate that result. These providers process the data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes or advertising.
Data retention
Your data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, profile data, photos, matches, and messages are deleted within 30 days; residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days. Moderation records tied to safety incidents may be retained longer where the law allows.
What we never do
We never sell your personal data, never post on your behalf, and never ask for your password or payment details by email.
Your controls & rights
You can edit or remove any answer, delete photos, block any member, or request a copy or full deletion of your data by emailing support@kynectra.com. Residents of certain states (including California and Texas) have additional statutory rights, which we honor for all members.
